Established in 2022, A Path to Prosperity is a paid job readiness program designed to provide employment opportunities to individuals, aiming to combat the gun violence and opioid epidemics in Philadelphia through economic empowerment.
Our overall goal is to create a comprehensive program that provides educational and employment opportunities in order to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty.

When are classes taught?
Path to Prosperity courses are taught at the Temple University Hospital Student Faculty Center, 3340 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140 and Mercy Family Center, 1939 W. Venango Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.

What documentation is needed for registration?
- State-Issued ID
- SSN Card
- Resume
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
What do I need to get started?
Participants should have proof of the following
- HS Diploma or GED certification.
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
- Social Security Number via SSN card or government document
Working email and cell phone.
The willingness to commit to a 4 week program typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 pm to 4pm.
